project overview

Alexa Hill Fine Jewelry

Alexa came to us newly launched, already building a bespoke fine jewelry business through word of mouth and TikTok, but without a brand behind her yet. Her mind was split between too many directions at once, and her online presence didn't yet reflect the trust a client needs before handing over an heirloom-level investment.
The challenge: build a brand that commanded the same trust as the pieces themselves. Fine jewelry asks a client to invest not just money but memory, a piece that's meant to outlive the person who bought it. Alexa needed a brand serious enough to hold that weight, with a story distinct enough to set her apart from the jewelers already crowding her category.
What surfaced in discovery was Alexa's whole design sensibility, split between her DC upbringing and the years she spent sourcing gemstones across Southeast Asia. Refined, but like she's on vacation. Heirloom, but still modern. We built her client around that same duality, the kind of woman who uses the good teacup on a Tuesday and hangs Schumacher on her walls, formal instincts softened by a love of travel and beautiful, everyday things. Partway through building the brand, one image made the whole thing click: Jackie O, lost in a Bangkok gem market. That became the north star, elegant and worldly, formal and free at once.
We gave Alexa's world a foundation in field notes, a nod to how she actually works, gathering inspiration from her travels, her clients' stories, and the thresholds they're crossing when they commission a piece. That gave her room to keep designing intuitively while still building a story around every piece she makes. Visually, we anchored the brand in a signature pistachio green, pulled from her own gemstones, built to do for her what orange does for Hermès or blue does for Tiffany, a color people learn to associate with her on sight. That identity carried through packaging and the art direction guiding her photography, so a client's whole experience, from the design process to the piece arriving in hand, feels considered and worth the wait.
The response so far:
  • Her community responded to the launch instantly, with strong early engagement across her socials
  • Alexa says the identity has made decisions, from packaging to new designs, ten times easier than before
  • She's no longer hesitant to send new clients to her own page, a brand she's now proud to stand behind
  • A signature color and visual world specific enough that it's already starting to become recognizably hers
Alexa Hill now shows up with the trust, story, and signature look to match the caliber of work she's always made, ready to turn every commission into the kind of piece someone hands down.

“I knew what I wanted my brand to feel like, but I couldn't land on a direction, I was torn between like five different ones. I picked Gatherie because she just got it. She understood my vision more than anyone else I talked to, and I could tell the brand was going to feel like mine, not a copy of something else she'd already done.

Now everything's just easier. Packaging, what I post, new designs, I'm not second guessing any of it anymore. Honestly the biggest thing for me is I'm not embarrassed to send people to my own website anymore. That sounds small but it's not.

If you're on the fence, don't be. Gatherie’s the best to work with and I'm already planning to come back for more.”
